Programming
This team must be responsible for having the correct version of the software, having all programs to be saved on the jump drive, having the same saved code, and use dates to keep track of versions. They also are responsible for having the code to be well documented on what it does, and remembering to keep names appropriate with what the method/program does. Programming must also be in contact with the manufacturing group to see if your coding works with how they are designing it.
Web Design
This team creates and designs the robotics website.
Manufacturing
This is the team that designs and builds the robot. It can be split into several of sub teams.
Mechanical
This sub team would include the drive train, manipulator, and base.
Electrical
This sub team includes wiring, controls, and programming.
CAD (computer-aided design)
This sub team takes designs and create CAD models.
Weight control
This sub team contains one person who keep track of the weight and all of its components.
System Integrator
This sub team contains one person who integrates the designs of all sub teams.
IMPORTANT TIP TO ROBOT BUILDERS
Make sure you always check with the programmers. They may not be able to code what you want it to do! Each person must understand the "science" behind and the "math" behind it.
Public Relations
This team would plan outreach activities, press releases, public events, presentations, and newsletter updates, which includes writing articles for school newspaper. They will also format uniforms and themes for the FLHS Robotics Team.
Design
This team designs everything Robotics related such as buttons, sweatshirts, T-shirts, the crate, the banner, showcase, and consist of very artistic people. They also help the Finance group by selling buttons to different clubs in our school.
Finance
This team must make hard copies of budget (excel format), make detailed and accurate account of all funds received and the expenditures. They must report back if we are over running (exceeds amount of money used). A written report of how much extra we can put on our robot, and a weekly status of expenditure - come "build period" 3x a week. At last, they must create a handout - such that if an expense was made, it was approved by an advisor.
Fundraising
This team is in charge of funding for the team as well as sponsor relations and recognition during, after, and before each season.
Photography
This team must be present at all events that our team members attend to, so we can have a collection of pictures from those events.
Media
They would document all the things the team does. This includes pictures, videos, quotes, etc. This team can also be in charge of the website and possibly putting together the awards submissions.
Computer Graphics
This team compile 3D + 2D design and animations such as safety animations. They also create audio such as musical mixing from scratch. This team consists of artistic people.
